Two of my great passions in life are hiking and photography. Through my photography I seek to document my own personal experiences, to capture scenes and events as I see them and to share with others the beauty and diversity of the world I've seen. Through this love of photography and nature, I also evolved into creating handmade jewelry incorporating hand engraving with the influences of nature with the beauty and power of stones
I grew up in High Point, North Carolina and was always eager to be outdoors in nature. While living in Asheville, I became immersed in the healing power of nature and stones. This led to my beginnings in jewelry making with my first wire wrapped pieces created from stone that I collected on my journey. As my love of the art progressed, I enrolled in the New Approach School for Jewelry in Franklin, Tennessee where I began to fine tune my jeweler skills. It was during this time that I found and embraced my love for hand engraving and creating one of a kind pieces for my clients. Each piece is hand forged and created and usually inspired by the natural beauty of my native state, North Carolina.
It is my goal as an artist and jeweler to bring joy to those who wear my pieces and remind them of the simple beauty that can be found in nature. I am drawn to the flowers of our area and my signature, dogwood, reflects the joy I feel each spring when these flowers emerge again.
